Works Offline
Travel Keeper is designed for travel scenarios. Core features work fully offline:
- ✅ Log expenses — Record spending anytime, anywhere
- ✅ View itinerary — Browse the complete timeline
- ✅ View ledger — Check all expense records
- ✅ Attach photos — Take receipt photos and link them
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device:
- 💾 Expense data is written to the local database instantly
- 📷 Photos are saved in local storage
- 💱 Exchange rates use the most recently cached values
When Back Online
When your device reconnects to the internet:
- Group trip expense records sync automatically
- Exchange rates update to the latest values
- Photos upload to the cloud (if cloud sync is enabled)
No manual action needed — everything happens in the background.
Important Notes
- First-time use requires an internet connection for account registration
- Inviting and joining trips requires connectivity
- Records created offline will sync to other members once back online
