How to Add Expense Records

Adding an Expense

Logging expenses during your trip is simple. Tap "+" at the bottom β†’ "Log Expense":

  1. Enter the expense amount
  2. Select or confirm the currency (defaults to your current location)
  3. Choose an expense category
  4. Optional: Add a note and photo

Tap "Save" and your expense is recorded.

Expense Categories

Travel Keeper provides these categories for easy analysis later:

  • 🍜 Food β€” Meals, snacks, drinks
  • πŸš• Transport β€” Taxis, buses, metro, car rentals
  • 🏨 Accommodation β€” Hotels, hostels, B&Bs
  • πŸ›οΈ Shopping β€” Souvenirs, daily necessities
  • 🎫 Tickets β€” Attractions, shows, experiences
  • πŸ“¦ Other β€” Anything not covered above

Edit and Delete

Made a mistake? No worries:

  • Edit: Tap any record in the ledger list, modify, and save
  • Delete: Swipe left (iOS) or long-press (Android) to delete
  • Batch operations: Select multiple records to edit categories or delete in bulk
